In Malawi Engen’s products and services are provided by Vivo Energy plc, a licensee of the Engen brand.

The Vivo Energy story is an African story – one of robust demographic trends driving dynamic and sustained growth, in a continent on the move.

Established in 2011, Vivo Energy is the company behind the Engen and Shell brands in multiple African markets. We source, distribute, market and supply high-quality fuels and lubricants to retail and commercial customers – making their experience with us more convenient and rewarding.

The Group has a network of over 2,300 service stations in 23 countries across North, West, East and Southern Africa, and exports lubricants to a number of other African countries.

Focused on fuelling Africa’s future, we make our customers’ lives easier and their experience with us more convenient, enjoyable and rewarding.

Owning, or having operational control of these assets is essential to control costs, guarantee supply and manage HSSEQ and product quality.

Safety is our absolute priority. Our robust HSSEQ system and processes have helped us protect our employees, customers and partners from the risks of COVID-19.

We recognise that we have a responsibility towards the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements and continue to adapt our business to offer what our customers need, supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy in the decades to come.
